Description

The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Ecosystems Research Division (ERD) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order using Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Gordon Research Conference, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. This acquisition will provide a portion of funding to support the 2008 Gordon Conference on Environmental Sciences: Water to be held June 22 to 27, 2008. The Gordon Conference has a long-history of providing a forum for stimulating advanced research in industrial laboratories, colleges and universities, research foundations, and government laboratories, and establishing linkages amongst theses communities of scientists. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541990. It has been determined that the Gordon Conference is the only source that can meet this requirement. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPAs requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received by May 20, 2008, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
