Description
MODIFICATION DATED - May 5, 2008 - This modification is to extend the due date for receipt of information in reference to the Request for Information. The new due date will be May 21, 2008 at 12 noon (Eastern Standard Time). Dear IT Solution Provider: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to identify viable alternatives for an enterprise document and records management solution to meet its specific business needs. The NIH is issuing this request for information (RFI) for market research purposes only. In conjunction with the RFI, the NIH plans to conduct demonstrations of industry solutions. The NIH is seeking to benefit from available industry expertise to determine whether viable alternatives exist, what set of products and services constitute those alternatives, and what the cost will be. If the results encourage such an investment, the NIH will use the results of this RFI to inform its approach for soliciting an enterprise solution for document and records management As such, the NIH values the input and participation of your firm in this RFI. Once it has identified an approach, the NIH may issue a request for proposals for an enterprise document and records management solution. The Government reserves the right to specify a contract vehicle at that time. Responses to the RFI, consisting of one soft copy, must be submitted to the NIH by 3:00 p.m. EST, May 7, 2008. Attachment A through Attachment E of this RFI can be found on attached to this email message. The documents will also be available on the NLM Website on or about Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/oam/oam.html or request a copy of the documents by email. To ask questions about any aspect of this RFI, your company should contact only the contracting officer issuing this letter. Interested parties may not contact technical personnel of the NIH about this RFI. The contracting officer, Rico Batte, may be contacted at 301-496-6546 or rb468p@nih.gov or Karen D. Riggs, may be contacted at 301-435-4376 or kr33v@nih.gov. All technical questions must be submitted in an electronic format. Sincerely, Rico Batte/Karen D. Riggs Contracting Officers
