Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to extend Contract N00019-04-D-0001 for a 6-month period pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1. The purpose of the modification is for Contractor Logistics Support and Technical Engineering Support Services for the following aircraft: KC-130, F/R/T Series Aircraft with similar components and/or systems and C-130J Variant Aircraft belonging to other Unites States Government Agencies and Department of Defense Services. The current contractor, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LMAero), a division of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marietta, GA, is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the KC-130J Aircraft Variant and the only source available to provide the required services for a 6-month period. LMAero had developed the C-130J aircraft model as a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item and has retained all C-130J peculiar proprietary data, drawings, and software rights. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals.
