Description
Passenger and Cargo Service for Copenhagen, Denmark to Thule AB, Greenland The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that the USTRANSCOM Directorate of Acquisition anticipates issuance of a solicitation to provide transportation of lawful cargo by DoD approved air carriers between Copenhagen, Denmark to Thule AB, Greenland. The Government requires the movement of passengers as well as cargo between Copenhagen Denmark to Thule AB and return. Food stuffs are also warehoused and transported in support of the contract. Air transportation frequency is varied depending on the destination and number of passengers and cargo needing transport. The contractor shall provide air transportation and passenger processing/manifesting services. Aircraft supporting this requirement will have two or more engines, meet the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), be fixed wing and be capable of operating as all passenger or a combination configuration. Aircraft must be capable of flying in extreme cold. Flight crews will be trained, qualified, and scheduled in accordance with the applicable FAA or Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules and regulations. Carrier will be DoD Approved. A minimum of 50 passenger seats and capability of carrying an average of 150 passengers per month to/from Copenhagen DK to Thule AB. An average of 25,000kg of cargo may be lifted each month. The anticipated period of performance will be for one year with four one-year option periods. The NAICS code is 481211. Anticipated issuance date is on or about May 2008.
