- Description
- FA7000-08-T-0099 replaces the presolicitation notice FA7000-08-R-0018. Please register to receive vendor notification using FA7000-08-T-0099. This pre-solicitation notice, for a planned acquisition to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to repair and replace government owned appliances such as refrigerators, electric ranges, dishwashers, garbage disposals, clothes washers and dryers, microwave ovens, ice machines, and grills at the United States Air Force Academy. This service will also include reclaiming refrigerant from refrigerators prior to turn-in and the testing of high limit switches on deep fat fryers. The United States Air Force Academy will issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to no more than three (3) separate companies for up to a five (5) year period of performance. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811412, Appliance Maintenance and Repair and $6.5M respectively. Release of Request for Proposal (RFP) on FedBizOpps is anticipated on or about 13 May 08 with proposals due approximately 12 days after release. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
