- Description
- This project includes restoration of the hydrologic function of 13 Forest Service roads. Contract covers 2 distinct geographic areas and contractors may submit proposals for one or both areas. Work generally includes blading, re-shaping of existing drainage features and installation of new drainage features (ie rolling dips, lead off ditches, waterbars). In addition, some structure installation is required (culverts, gabion mats, rip rap, armored crossings, overside drains). Other rip rap slope protection, lead off ditches and drainage protection is included. Bonding will be required. Project areas include: Witch-Poomacha Area – Palomar Divide, Pine Mtn Rd, Boden Cyn Rd, Orosco Ridge, Tule Springs Rd, Cedar Cr Rd, Lower Santa Ysabel, Westside Rd, Black Mtn Spur, Black Mtn Rd, Upper Santa Ysabel, Lusardi Rd; and Harris Area – Barber Mtn Rd. Roads listed above are discontinuous and some may need to be accessed from more than one point. The price range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The estimated contract time is 120 calendar days. Estimated start work date is June 30, 2008. (Project site is normally accessible year round, but is not guaranteed. A pre-bid tour will not be conducted, offerors are encouraged to visit the site on their own. Issue date is approximately May 21, 2008 with a closing date of approximately June 20, 2008. This acquisition is a total small business set aside.
