Description

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) intends to award on a competitive basis, using commercial procedures, a contract to provide for School Bus Transportation Services for DoD Dependent Students residing on four military installations in the Beaufort, SC area. The solicitation number is HE1254-08-R-0011, and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This action incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2005-24, Class Deviation 2005-0001 and DCN 20080303. The Department of Defense Education Activity is a federal government agency, an education activity, tax exempt, and qualifies for academic/educational pricing. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Interested parties should ensure that their information in the Central Contractor Registration, http://www.ccr.gov/ is accurate and current. This requirement is unrestricted. Offerors shall submit their offers in accordance with the submission instructions contained in the solicitation by 1:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), Wednesday, May 28, 2008. No information concerning this solicitation or requests for clarification will be provided in response to telephone calls. All inquiries must be submitted in writing by email to ronald.kunz@hq.dodea.edu or fax, 703-588-3713. Answers will be provided to potential offerors via amendment to the solicitation. No inquiries will be considered if received more than ten (10) calendar days after release of this notice. Offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation, all of its supporting documents, and any applicable amendments posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fbo.gov. Amendments may be posted to FedBizOpps until the response due date.
