Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Geometrics in San Jose, CA for the lease of a multi-channel seismic receiver system which includes a towed 24-channel hydrophone, tow cable, deck cable, streamer birds, and required shipboard electronics and recording systems to be delivered to Coast Guard Group, Fort Macon, 2301 East Fort Macon Road, Atlantic Beach, NC by 07/11/2008. No options are included in this requirement. Geometrics is the only known source that will lease this equipment to satisfy the government's requirement. The lease of this equipment is critical to the success of a geophysical survey being conducted by the Woods Hole Science Center, Woods Hole, MA off Cape Hatteras, NC. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). FAX response to 703.648.7367 or email to: abenton@usgs.gov. The NAICS code is 334519. The anticipated award date of the contract is 05/13/2008. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. See Numbered Note 1 and 22.
