- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Health Center System (VASNHCS), Reno, Nevada plans to issue a Request for Proposal for Electrophysiology (EP) services. The Contractor will provide service to VA inpatients and outpatients. Physician(s) must be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty of cardiovascular disease and fellowship trained in cardiac electrophysiology. Contractor shall provide on a 24/7 basis comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology consultative care including evaluation and treatment of patients for potential arrhythmias, disorders of the cardiac conduction system, syncope, evaluation of patients for permanent cardiac pacemaker placement or revision, and need for, implantation and monitoring of automated implantable cardiac defibrillators (AICD). The Contractor shall conduct a minimum of two half-day EP outpatient clinics per week at the VA Medical Center at Reno. Further the Contractor agrees to accept, in transfer (at Renown Regional Medical Center, and St. Mary's Medical Center in Reno) all patients needing emergency intervention not available at VASNHCS. NAICS code 621111 applies with a size standard of $9 million. This solicitation will be unrestricted full and open competition. The contract will be an indefinite quantity type contract with a guaranteed $5,000 minimum per contract year and is expected to include a one-year basic period, with four one-year options. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-261-08-RQ-0188. Solicitations will be issued o/a May 12, 2008, with an anticipated proposal due date of May 27, 2007.
