- THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS FULL AND OPEN. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to erect two accessible observation platforms with connecting ramps. The observation decks shall meet the requirements set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act and Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines, dated July 23, 2004, effective May 8, 2008. The site has been re-graded; therefore the Contractor must verify all grades. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader, Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge, 17701 212th Ave NWBerthold, ND, telephone number 701-468-5467 ext. 14. Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The total performance period is 180 days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the size standard is $31 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about May 24, 2008 with an anticipated closing date of June 23, 2008.
