Description
Please respond to the above points of contact with your level of interest in this project and a brief explanation of your experience. Please send your response with an email with a limit of 250 characters. Please no PDF brochures at this time - that opportunity will come at a later date. The San Francisco District CoE is only gauging the level on interest at this time. Manufacture an FRP (fiber reinforced polymer) bridge 59’ 6” in length by 5’-0” in width. Existing abutments will extend 24 inches in from the end of the bridge so no under span lateral braces can be placed for the first 24 inches. The bridge is multi use (pedestrian/equestrian/light vehicle) and needs a live load design of 85 psf and a vehicle (owner may use an ATV to cross) load of 5,000 lbs. Design will include: fiberglass support trusses, 54” handrail height above wood decking (3” x 12” Douglas fir decking and carriage bolts will be provided by owner but owner needs manufacturer to inform of the exact length of the 3” x 12” wood decking in order for owner to properly purchase), safety midrails (horizontal) providing 9” maximum opening, A307 galvanized steel bolts, standard green color, mounting clips, and dead load camber only. Pieces will be lightweight (approximately 90 lbs. maximum weight) and designed to be person portable and easy to assemble and erect on inaccessible sites. Since bridge will be delivered unassembled, a customized assembly package will be provided with bridge with a recommended installation approach to project.
