Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a HUBZone sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity contract for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Autopilot Components and Integration to Cloud Cap Technology, Inc of Hood River, OR under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 - Authorized or Required by Statute. Anticipated award date is 30 May 08. The North American Industry Classification System for this acquisition is 334511, small business size standard: 750 employees. Parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 5 calendar days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Questions shall be submitted electronically to rodney.lewis@eglin.af.mil. An alternate contact is timothy.estrada@eglin.af.mil. This contract action is for UAS support requirements to include hardware, software, and engineering services in support of small unmanned air vehicle systems. The intent of the UAS Support contract is to provide avionic systems, single and multi sensor gimbals, ground system vehicle and payload display/control software and engineering services. These systems shall have been previously integrated and support autonomous takeoff and landing, waypoint navigation, and manual control. Avionic systems include mode A/C transponder, autopilot, data link, GPS, Inertial Measurement Units, laser altimeter, etc. The engineering services include: hardware, software, and air vehicle integration; air vehicle analysis and model generation, flight test support and autopilot gain adjustments; integration of different sensors into gimbals; modification to software and hardware for Government desired upgrades/enhancements.
