- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Contracting Office (NAVO) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Wet Labs, Inc., 620 Applegate St. P.O. Box 518, Philomath, OR 97370. The purchase order will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 as a firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type purchase order for approximately $117,095.00 (includes base period and options, if exercised). The requirement is to have the original equipment manufacturer service and refurbish the Government owned equipment purchased from Wet Labs. (Qty (50) C-Star Transmissometers and Qty (5) AC9 meters) The original equipment manufacturer is only source available for refurbishment and repairs of this equipment. IAW FAR Part 5.203(a) the anticipated award date is May 23, 2008. The Government plans to award a one year purchase order with two, one-year options for the same service. The contractor is responsible for shipping materials back to Stennis Space Center, MS. NOTE 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
