Description
The Specialty Center Acquisition NAVFAC (SCAN) office in Port Hueneme, CA intends to award up to five multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contracts, with provisions to award either cost plus fixed fee or firm fixed price task orders using a best value competitive source selection process. Successful contract awardees will be given a fair opportunity to compete on all task orders. The actual work to be performed will be described in individual task orders to be issued by the Contracting Officer. The work to be acquired under this solicitation is for ocean engineering services in support of projects involving ocean cable systems, ocean work systems, waterfront facilities, hyperbaric facilities, offshore structures, moorings, and ocean construction equipment. The work may be performed in environments ranging from arctic to tropic and at all water depths where installation, maintenance, inspection, repair and salvage operations may be required. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Code Standard is 541330 and the annual size standard is $25 million. The basic contract period will be for one year with four (4) one-year option periods for a total maximum duration of five years. The total maximum aggregate value of all task orders issued during the entire contract term of five years among all of the MAC IDIQ contract holders will not exceed $350,000,000. The Government makes no representation as to the number of task orders or actual amount of work to be ordered under the performance period of the contract. The Government intends to evaluate proposals and award contract without discussions. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY. The RFP will be posted on the website at www.neco.navy.mil on or about June 13, 2008. No hard copies will be provided. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE DAILY FOR ANY AND ALL AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. Prospective offerors MUST register on the NECO website.
