Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number for this Request For Quote (RFQ) is Q2149080023. This acquisition is a 100% set aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 424910 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The government will award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the lowest price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The contract for herbicide will be awarded on or about May 29, 2008. REQUIREMENTS: The National Park Service has a requirement for the purchase and delivery of 80 gallons of Milestone Herbicide (EPA #62719-519) in 2.5 gallon containers and 65 gallons of Brewer 90 Herbicide in 2.5 gallon containers to be deliverd FOB Destination to Badlands National Park, 25216 Ben Reifel Place, Interior, South Dakota, 57750-7020 before June 13, 2008. And 20 gallons of Milestone (EPA #62719-519), 900 gallons of MSO - CA REG NO (36208-50027) in 2.5 gallon containers, 20 gallons of Razor Pro (EPA #228-366) - must be a 4 pound surfactant loaded product with CAUTION label in 2.5 gallon containers and 300 gallons of Plateau (EPA #241-365) or equivalent in 2.5 gallon containers to be delivered FOB Destination to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, 315 Second Ave, PO Box 7, Medora, North Dakota, 58645-0007 before August 18, 2008. The driver shall schedule deliveries with Laniece Sawvell, Badlands NP, 605-433-5265 and Chad Prosser, Theodore Roosevelt NP, 701-623-4730 x3578, at least 24 hours prior to delivery. Additionally the successfull offeror must: be a certified supplier of pesticide products and have a distribution center in the mid-west region; must have technical expertise in the above products and be able to assist with questions pertaining to the products or new formulations; must supply products within 18 months of formulation, which will be verified with company batch numbers; and must supply product that has been stored in a climate controlled environment. The purchase is a lump sum, Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The magnitude of the purchase is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Product Service Code 6840, NAICS Code 424910. The Small Business Standard is: 100 employees. Paper copies of this combined Synopsis/Solicitation will not be issued. Unless amendments are issued extending the solicitation, the offers are due by 2:00 pm MST, May 28, 2008.
