- AIR FORCE/INDUSTRY AIR AND SUSTAINMENT TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOP FOR INDEPENDENT RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (IR&D) AND SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) TRANSITION SUPPORT (COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP)) INTERCHANGE MEETINGS. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), and Air Force Materiel Command Air Logistics Centers (ALC) will conduct an air and sustainment technology interchange workshop on 17-18 July 2008 at the Dayton Marriott Hotel, 1414 S. Patterson Boulevard, Dayton, Ohio 45409, Phone: 1-937-223-1000, Fax: 1-937-223-7853. The two activities are: (1) IR&D Question and Answer sessions and (2) SBIR Transition Support One-on-One sessions. Prior to the IR&D and SBIR tracks, there will be an eight-hour plenary overview, for qualifying contractors, where AFRL, ASC, and the ALCs will present the Air Force near, mid and long-term aeronautical/sustainment technology needs. Contractors interested in either the IR&D or SBIR tracks can attend the plenary overview. Following the plenary overview, the AF will hold two parallel tracks -- IR&D Question and Answer sessions and SBIR one-on-one sessions. Approximately twenty minutes will be allotted to each qualifying company interested in either of these two tracks.
