- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO: Office Depot Inc., 3500 East Willow St., Long Beach, CA, 90815, to provide office supply services to the Consolidated Materials Service Center (CMSC) located aboard Camp Pendleton, CA, UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.501(a)(1). The Regional Contracting Office, Southwest (RCO SW), Camp Pendleton, CA intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the above named company with a one (1) month base period and three (3), one (1) month option periods. This bridge contract is necessary to ensure services are not interrupted after 6 June 2008 until the follow-on contract (which is currently in a source selection status) is awarded. The value of this award is estimated to be under $4.6 million. As Office Depot is currently providing supplies and services to the CMSC store, it already has an existing stock of supplies at the store and is familiar with CMSCs internal operating systems and procedures. No other source would be prepared to begin services by 6 June 2008, as there is not enough time to initiate a turnover process and train a new source on internal operating procedures. The anticipated award date is 7 June 2008. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. This notice is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals, or quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice.
