- Description
- NASA/KSC has a requirement for a software product capable of being integrated intothe Service Oriented Architecture in the Launch Control System (LCS). It will serve asthe Command & Telemetry service as outlined in the attached documents. The systemrequires a mature, robust Off-The Shelf (OTS) system. The LCS requires the following: 1)Command and telemetry Software, annual licenses. -Eight (8) run time licenses. -Sixty (60) developer licenses. 2)Annual maintenance and technical support. 3)240 labor hrs of Engineering services. Option 1. 1)Run time recurring licenses for additional year - site license: - The licensing model shall provide thresholds where the number of licenses can beincreased to potentially support a site license. 2)Maintenance, technical support for additional year. Option 2. 1)Run time recurring licenses for additional year- site license: - The licensing model shall provide thresholds where the number of licenses can beincreased to potentially support a site license. 2)Maintenance, technical support for additional year. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQsystem to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may beaccessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The informationrequired by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than May 30, 2008. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site forthe release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloadingtheir own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
