ANNOUNCEMENT TO FEDBIZOPPS REQ# 08-4552-3498 ACTION: P - PRESOLICITATION NOTICE 08ER63-No SolicitationCONTACT: Jacob E. Smith This award is for a base year only with no subsequent option periods. The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award Meteor Communications Corp. to be delivered to Stennis Space Center, MS by 06/30/2008. No other sources were considered for this acquisition because the listed vendor is the only known source of Packet Data Radios that transmit in both ELOS and meteorburst modes. This procurement is made in recognition of the USGS Hydrological Instrumentation Facility's (HIF) mission to test and evaluate new technologies for various HIF customers to better serve their base. The NAICS code is 334220. The anticipated award date is 04/21/2008. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract.
