- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), Division of Violence Prevention has a requirement to identify macro-level economic risk and protective factors (e.g., community-level economic inequality, poverty, unemployment), for youth violence and explore ideas for how to best bridge the gap between etiologic research and effective community-level interventions. It will culminate into series of peer reviewed articles (or book sections) published in a journal special issue (or book) The specific aims are to convene an expert panel to: 10. Review etiologic macro-level economic risk literature and identify limitations, 2). Review macro-level economic intervention literature, 3). Explore ideas for how to best bridge the gap between etiologic research and intervention, 4). Discuss pathways linking macroeconomic conditions and youth violence, 5). Develop future directions for research. The entire scope of work requirements and evaluation factors are addressed in the solicitation. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. Solicitation 2008-N-10434 will be posted on this site on or about May 23 and proposals due June 23, 2008. Please reference the solicitation number on your request. Offerors are responsible to verify that fax request are received by the issuing office. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. All vendors/prospective contractors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration (www.ccr.gov) prior to award date. If not registered or active by that date, vendor proposals will be considered non-responsive.
