Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25. This is a solicitation for the Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG). The USPFO for Connecticut intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract and quotes are requested for catering of three meals per day, for 26 days in June, 2008. The solicitation number is W91ZRS-8137-0001. The NAICS code is 722320 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. The contractor shall provide healthy, appetizing and nutritious meals, onsite to approximately 152 soldiers located at Camp Rell, 38 Smith Street, Niantic, CT 06357 for two meals per day and 139 Tower Ave, Groton, CT 06340, for one meal per day, for the Period of Performance of June 3, 2008 through June 27, 2008. The Government prefers to make a single award but reserves the right to award to multiple vendors if it is in the best interest of the Government. This requirement is for the following line items: Line Item 1: Breakfast Meals: June 3-27, 2008, total of 3,252 Breakfast Meals required for the entire 26 day period. Location is Camp Rell, 38 Smith Street, Niantic, CT 06357, Bldg 28; served between 6:00 AM 7:00 AM. Line Item 2: Lunch Meals: June 3-27, 2008, total of 3,252 Lunch Meals required for the entire 26 day period. Location is AVCRAD, 139 Tower Ave, Groton, CT 06340; served between 12:00 PM 1:00 PM. Line Item 3: Dinner Meals: June 2-27, 2008 - total of 3,252 Dinner Meals required for the entire 26 day period. Location is Camp Rell, 38 Smith Street, Niantic, CT 06357,Bldg 28; served between 5:30 PM 6:30 PM. Line Item 4: Boxed Lunch: June 27, 2008 152 meals on day of departure to be delivered to Camp Rell, 38 Smith Street, Niantic, CT 06357, Bldg 28; not later than 4:00 PM on 27 June, 2008. The spreadsheet named Quantities.pdf breaks down the quantities by day and meal. Breakfast choices shall include fresh fruit juice, low fat chocolate and white milk, individual packaged dried cereal or individual packaged hot cereal, eggs, pancakes, breakfast meat, assorted breads, hash brown potatoes, biscuits with gravy, fresh or canned fruit, coffee, butter or margarine, syrup, jelly or jam, and condiments. Lunch & Dinner shall include an entree which includes a tossed salad, one vegetable at lunch and two vegetables at dinner, accompanied by the appropriate side dishes or sauces, gravies, or salad dressings, low fat chocolate and white milk, iced tea and coffee, and condiments. Each meal shall be served with a choice of bread and butter or margarine, and dessert. Entrees shall vary in a manner not to repeat within a 3-day period. The Government has provided a 14 day menu plan, the file name is FY08_14DayMenu.pdf. The Government will make award(s) resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered.
