Description
This public announcement is to notify interested parties of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) intentions to procure construction services for the expansion of a parking lot, under a Full and Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990. This project site is located at William J. Hughes Technical Center Atlantic City International Airport, NJ 08405. The specific parking lot is for the Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Laboratory, Building 315. The expansion of Parking Lot #1, includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of existing paved Parking Lot #1, access roads, equipment pads, walks, fencing and exterior parking lot lighting system; the construction of new pavement for reconfiguring and enlarging the existing parking lot from 47 spaces to 98 spaces, and new pavement for the relocated access roads around Building 315; Installation of new sidewalks, curbs, fencing, card activated vehicle and pedestrian gates, and relocation of guardhouse, 2 hydrants, area lighting; construction of a new infiltration basin and expansion of 2 existing infiltration basins to control increased stormwater runoff; and grading and seeding. Overall period of performance will be 140 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is contemplated. A mandatory site visit will be held on May 28, 2008 at 12:30 PM EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center. Security issues require companies to identify personnel whom will be attending the mandatory site visit. Parties interested in attending the site visit must notify the Contracting Officer via email at kimberly.a.knight@faa.gov and must include name of individual who will attend the site visit and the address of the company. The information is required in order to receive mailed specifications and drawings via CD-R. All proposals are due by Wednesday, June 11, 2008 2:00PM EST. Proposals will only be accepted from site visit attendees. Estimate range for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Bid Bond shall be 20% of proposal. Performance Bonds (100%) and Payment Bonds (50%) of contract price are required after notification of award.
