Description
On each project the Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, tools, material and equipment necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings. Payment for the contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items. All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for the items shown. 1. This project consists of applying tack coat and Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete skin patches to portions and shoulders of Forest Service Road 21, and skin patches to full width of existing road at specified locations. Lengths, widths, and depths of patching varies at each location. Areas to be patched and paved will be staked on the ground by the Contracting Officer. 2. This project consists of hot mix asphalt (HMA) concrete paving of parking lot and two approach roads. The existing approach roads are HMA paved, and the parking lot is compacted crushed aggregate. The HMA paving for the approach roads will taper in depth from 0” where they join County Road 62 to a 3” depth at a point 50’ to the west at the edge of the parking lot. The approach roads total 5000 square feet in area (approx. 0.12 acre). The HMA paving for the parking lot area will consist of a 3 inch thick compacted layer of asphalt concrete placed on the existing aggregate surface, which total 35,400 square feet (approx. 0.81 acre). Areas to be paved will be staked on the ground by the Contracting Officer.

Address: 1. From John Day, OR, travel west on U.S. Highway 26 for 18 miles, then turn south onto Forest Service Road 21, which is the beginning of the project. The patching sites are located at various intervals between milepost 2.0 and milepost 12.8 on the 21 road., 2. The project is located on the Prairie City Ranger District of the Malheur National Forest, about 20 miles south east of Prairie City, Oregon. It can be accessed by turning south from US Highway 26 in Prairie City onto Grant County Road 62, an continuing southeast on Road 62 for approximately 20 miles. The project site is located immediately adjacent to Road 62, with both of the parking lot approach roads intersecting Road 62., JOHN DAY, Oregon, 97845, United States
