Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service, Acquisitions and Grants Division issues this Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for information and planning purposes to determine the existing market capability to support the Environmental Modeling Center, National Centers for Environmental Prediction IT support scientist services program that provide programming support for meteorological and oceanographic forecast systems, research technology transition into operations, and scientific maintenance. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain capabilities, delivery, or other market information for planning purposes. The Government is also trying to determine if there are capable small business firm that can accomplish the work. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519 with a size standard in millions of dollars of $23.0. All interested, capable, and responsible sources that wish to respond to this RFI are encouraged to: (1) respond to the draft Statement of Work (SOW) posted with this notice by providing a staffing/task matrix to demonstrate your firm’s capability and understanding of the proposed requirement; (2) provide the qualifications of the firm including 2 past performance references; and, (3) submit to the designated Contract Specialist the requested documents with SOW comments/questions and any other market information. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on June 18, 2008. Responses to this notice will be handled as business/technical proprietary data.
