ANNOUNCEMENT TO FEDBIZOPPS REQ# 08-2300-0025 ACTION: P - PRESOLICITATION NOTICE 08ER62-No SolicitationCONTACT: Jacob E. Smith This award is for a base year only with no subsequent option periods. The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to the Applera Corporation for their AM 1835 MagMax-96 AI/ND Viral 4x96 RNA Isolation Kits. These kits will be used in support of the Interagency Avian Influenza Surveillance Program. Partner agencies such as the USDA and USFWS have been using these specific kits for their surveillance and analysis; therefore, it is imperative that the USGS use the same equipment to maintain data consistency and integrity. The NAICS code is 334516. The anticipated award date is 05/23/2008. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract.
