Description

Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt, on behalf of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) intends to acquire on a sole-source basis to Research Electronics International (REI) 455 Security Place, Cookeville, TN 38506 to purchase upgrade of the present Orion NLJD analyzer and to purchase one TALAN telephone analyzer for associated training required to operate the TALAN. The REI Orion NLJD is an item that is produced and maintained exclusively by REI. REI offers an upgrade option for the Orion NLJD that would convert the existing model into a high gain NLJD. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than 11:00 am EST, May 22, 2008. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required batteries in terms more advantageous to the Government. Request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative responses are received that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet all requirements and that is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to REI.
