- This is a combined/synopsis for sole source procurement of commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Ca (FISCSD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order for MK 11 Buoyancy Compensator replacement parts to Carleton Life Support Systems (CLSS), 2734 Hickory Grove Rd, Davenport, IA, 52804. These replacement parts (see attached document) are proprietary to CLSS. See Government-wide note 22. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 calendar days from the date of this publication. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
