- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to acquire reagents and reagent supplies for laboratory testing equipment (Gen-Probe Aptima System) to be used for patient laboratory testing in the Laboratory Department, Naval Health Clinic, Great Lakes, IL. This is a sole source action to be awarded as a new purchase order to Gen-Probe. The placement of a firm fixed price purchase order for one year, 01 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 is anticipated. Gen-Probe is the only firm who can provide the supplies to the laboratory equipment currently in use at Laboratory Department, Naval Health Clinic, Great Lakes, IL. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Gen-Probe under authority of FAR 6.302. The solicitation number is N00189-08-T-Z086 and the applicable NAICS code is 424210.
