- The Northeast Fisheries Science Center Aquarium, Woods Hole, Ma has a requirement for a consulting marine animal veterinarian to assist with animal maintaining the health and good husbandry of a variety fish and invertebrates, as well as seals and sea turtles held in the collection. The veterinarian must be available locally for routine and emergency calls, both in person and remotely (email / phone), and be licensed and certified to write drug prescriptions in the State of Massachusetts. Services will be accessed on an as-needed basis, most likely involving weekly consultations and occasional physical examinations or evaluation of specimens. Period of performance will be one year from date of award, and the number of hours needed will not exceed 250 for the contract period. This acquisition will be used as an RFQ and awarded as a firm fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR): www.ccr.gov, and obtain (and provide with the offer) a Duns number by calling 1-800-333-0505. The FSC for this is R497 and the NAICS Code is 541940, small business size standard is 6.5 million. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS.
