Description
BLM Invitation for Bids, NAB080107, INSTALLATION OF A TEMPORARY WATER LINE AT THE RED ROCKS CANYON VISITOR CENTER IN NEVADA. Solicitation number NAB080107 applies and will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about May 27, 2008 for the following requirement: The Bureau of Land Management's Las Vegas Field Office has a requirement for the installation of a temporary water line at the Red Rocks Canyon Visitor Center in Nevada, to include the following requirements: Provide all labor and materials for the installation a temporary HDPE construction waterline from a hydrant at or near the end of West Charleston Blvd, extending approximately 25,000 feet to the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop Fee Booth area. This project includes a minimum of two 4" pumps, pressure transducers to automatically control pumps to deliver a minimum of 40 lbs head pressure and approximately 20,000 gallons of water per day to the construction site. The temporary pipeline shall be placed outside of the NDOT Highway 159 right-of-way on BLM land. Bids shall include alternatives for cross the Calico Basin Road and the entrance to the Fee Booth off of Highway 159. The contractor shall be responsible for servicing and maintaining all pumps, motors, and pipeline that is their property. The bid shall include a plan for securing the pumps from vandalism and damage. BLM shall be responsible for turning on and shutting off the meter and pumps as needed. BLM is responsible for providing the meters and back-flow preventer devices at the source per LVVWD requirements. BLM shall be responsible for paying for the water during the life of this project. BLM has the option to extend the rental beyond the 18 month base period as needed. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS classification is 237110. Size standard is $31.0 Million. The anticipated award date is June 16, 2008 for a Firm Fixed Price Type contract.
