- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. AS OF THE DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. This Request for Information/Sources Sought (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this request for information nor will the Government compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information for the Government. Any request for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is a request for information, not a request for proposal. It is requested that information in response to this RFI be submitted NO LATER THAN June 10, 2008 to Mr. Michael R. Sommeling, Independence National Park, 143 S. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or by email at michael_sommeling@nps.gov. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this RFI to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend. Respondents may provide information on any currently available product that meets the National Park Service's requirements. Independence National Historical Park has an automation system with direct digital controls (DDC) and a network that covers 6 city blocks and 14 buildings. The network is a combination of fiber and wire with 9 controllers with over 1000 points and 5 user work stations. The system links the Chiller Plant system with other building environmental systems. These systems work together to maintain the historic structures at predetermined temperatures and humidity. The system reports alarms to the operators thought text messaging. The system also trends environmental data on all historic structures. Independence National Historic Park (INDE) is requesting information pertaining to the services, materials and/or equipment required to provide, as necessary, the maintenance of the entire system. Interested parties are requested to provide commercial pamphlets, operating and maintenance manuals or any other documentation that will assist INDE personnel in recognizing possible sources.
