- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description: Excavator Rental. Excavator 31,000lb class. Minimum reach of 25 feet. Equipped with hydraulic blade and a 36 inch bucket with a smooth edge. Price to include delivery and pick-up. List hour rate to move excavator if/when required. May require up to 3 moves during rental period. Location of Rental Delivery is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, 5317 M209, Glen Haven, Michigan, 49630. This is in Leelanau County, Michigan. The solicitation number for this project is Q6620080034. The National Park Service requires a fixed-price contract identifying a monthly rental cost (CLIN 0001), and hourly rate (CLIN 0002) to move the excavator when necessary. Contract duration is June 23, 2008 to Sept 19, 2008. The NAICS code for this project is 532412, Size Standard is $6.5 Million Average Annual, and is 100% set aside for Small Business Concerns. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-25, dated April 22,2008, and are subject to the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13.
