- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking potential sources capable of rebuilding/repairing Ulstein Aquamaster Z-Drive System, Model 1350H, : (1) Thruster, Marine, Z-Drive System, Left Hand (Port), Part No. 1350H, B8106242-002, Stock Number 2010-21-920-0899. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts shall be utilized in the rebuilding/repairing of this Z-Drive System. The Government did not procure the technical and engineering data rights to provide with the solicitation, therefore it is the Government’s belief that only Rolls-Royce Canada Ltd., and/or their authorized repair facilities, possess the engineering and technical data and capabilities to repair this Z-Drive System while ensuring the proper form, fit, and function of all its components. Therefore it is the Government’s intention to solicit and negotiate only with Rolls Royce Canada Ltd., and/or their authorized repair facilities. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to rebuild/repair this Z-Drive System are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate offeror capabilities (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the Z-Drive System has been successfully rebuilt or repaired for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information and offeror capabilities relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
