- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract The contractor, Raytheon Company, will provide maintenance support for the SADL software in support of the F-16 Warfighter while ensuring SADL remains compatible with other data links and other branches of Services. This effort shall provide ongoing analyses of system configuration changes throughout the Data Link community, shall evaluate the impact of these changes on the SADL system, and shall provide recommendations and/or implementation procedures for SADL equipped aircraft, support equipment, and gateways in remaining compatible with ground based Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) or Link 16 platforms. This effort is to be performed in support of the 501 ACSS/GFLA Operational Flight Program Software Branch. The solicitation will posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number FA8232-08-R-0030 on or around Sept 30, 2008. Award will be made to Raytheon Company, 1801 HUGHES DR, Fullerton CA, 92833-2200. It is anticipated that this requirement will last for a period of 4 years.. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and all other interested contractors shall submit a capabilities document which states their abilities on fulfilling this requirement.
