- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management, is soliciting bids under Solicitation number VA-101-08-IB-0083 for the following: Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform and complete all work on the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Gravesite Expansion, Project 916CM2004 as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications including but not limited to site preparation for cemetery operations, including all general construction, demolition, clearing and grubbing, alterations, roads, paving, walks, site furnishings, signage, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, earthwork, landscaping, utility systems, water irrigation systems, 15,000 pre-placed double-depth concrete crypts, 4000 columbaria niches, 5480 4 feet x 8 feet conventional gravesites, one committal service shelter. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. NAICS code is 237990. The Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Performance period is approximately 480 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL: Electronic solicitations are not available. Requests for hard copy drawings and specifications shall be in writing to: RVI Planning, Attention: Shawn Massock, 712 Congress Avenue, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78701. Phone: 512-480-0032, Fax: 512-480-0617. Bidders will be charged a $200.00 refundable fee for each set of drawings and specs. Fee must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or money order made payable to RVI Planning and must accompany the written application. All requests shall be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address. No telephone requests will be accepted. Solicitation materials will be available on or about June 6, 2008. NOTICE TO PRIME (GENERAL) CONTRACTORS: Unless Prime (General) Contractors are registered on the FedBizOpps website, potential subcontractors will not know of your interest in bidding on this project. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering for the Register to Receive Notification list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging any amendments to the solicitation. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid conference will be held on June 24, 2008 at 10:00am Central time at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, (214) 467-3374.
