- Description
- The Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 intends to issue a construction contract. The contractor shall supply all manpower, materials, and equipment, and supervision needed to replace the north side footbridge connecting the lower parking lot to the main campus The work shall include all related work as specified in the attached technical specifications and as delineated in the contract drawings including but not limited to: 1. Demolition of the existing footbridge; concrete stair treads; guardrails, and concrete sidewalk. 2. Fabrication, assembly, and installation of new footbridge including guardrails. 3. Concrete stairs and walks. 4. Installation of conduit runs across the footbridge. 5. Restoring the earthwork in the area. 6. Demolition and removal of the cooling tower located behind building 10. Demolition of the concrete foundation the unit is mounted on. Saw cutting the area and replacing a section of the parking lot with a new concrete pad. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The approximate SOLICITATION issue date will be June 10, 2008 with an approximate response date of November 10, 2008. The solicitation is a Request for Proposal and will be issued as a Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The project magnitude is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. Estimated contract performance period is 180 calendar days. Firms must be registered with the Central Contractors Registry http://www.ccr.gov/ the Veterans Business Registry http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications https://orca.bpn.gov/ The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web Site http://www.eps.gov Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). Telephone and fax requests will not be honored.
