Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Thermo Environmental Instruments Inc. to provide parts and consumables to be used with the ASAP monitors. The solicitation number is PR-NC-08-10392. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 which has a small business size standard is 500 employees. Award will be made using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The required delivery date is no later than 4 weeks after award of purchase order. Delivery of the items will be disclosed upon award. The contractor shall provide the following: iBass Demo Kit Cartridges (5 paks with 10 cartridges each (Part# 59-010667-0010) (Qty 5), 8 segment PUF cartridges (Part# 55-009138-0008) (Qty 1332), Shipping to designated address. The product been requested is specific to ASAP monitors currently being used in our network, therefore no other materials from any other vendor will be compatible with the existing ASAP monitoring equipment. EPA believes that the Thermo Environmental Instruments is the only vendor capable of satisfying the Agency's requirements. The circumstances permitting Other than Full and Open Competition Justification is FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements." The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exists and, therefore, no RFP is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide a capability statement but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFP will not be honored. All interested parties must respond by June 5, 2008 @ 12:00 P.M. to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, RTP-POD, 109 T.W. Alexander Dr., Attn: Natalia Fisher-Jackson, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711. Courier Delivery address is: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, RTP-POD, 4930 Page Road, Attn: Natalia Fisher-Jackson, E105-02, Research Triangle Park, NC 27703.. Interested vendors shall include information on the proposed supplies/services which clearly supports the requirements outlined above.
