- Description
- Install riprap lined drainage ditch. The Contractor shall install the concrete curbing and riprap lined ditch as shown. The Contractor shall remove and salvage the existing riprap erosion protection adjacent to the parking area. This riprap shall be salvaged and placed at the bottom of the ditch as shown and not used on the ditch slope. The Contractor shall install a concrete curb as shown using a minimum 4,500 psi concrete with #4 rebar. The Contractor shall saw cut and remove the existing parking area pavement lot in the areas shown to drain towards the drainage ditch, construct concrete curb and concrete pavement. Both the curb and parking areas shall be constructed on a minimum of eight inches of Class 5 aggregate base course meeting the requirements of NDDOT 302. The drainage ditch shall be lined with a geotextile before placement of the riprap. The geotextile shall meet the requirement of NDDOT 709.03 D. The geotextile shall be keyed into a 12-inch deep check slot at maximum 25 ft spacing. The check slots shall be excavated the full width of the ditch perpendicular to the ditch alignment. The slots shall not be less than 6 inches wide. The geotextile shall be placed to the bottom of the trench and the trench shall be backfilled with the material excavated from the slot such that all excavated materials are compacted back into the trench. Riprap for the drainage ditch shall meet the gradation requirements of ASTM D 6092, riprap size R-60 as shown in figure 3. Riprap shall be produced from the attached material sources unless approved otherwise by the Contracting Officer.Homme Dam is located in Walsh County North Dakota near the city of Park River. THIS REQUIREMENT HAS BEEN SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS (SDVOSB). Notice of Set Aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns - (a) the proposed contract is 100 % set aside for award to service disabled veteran owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions: As used in the provision: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern - (1) Means a small business concern - (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service disabled veteran or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of stock of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans; and (ii) the management and daily business operation of which are controlled by one or more service disabled veterans or in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse of permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service disabled veteran means a veteran as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101 (2), with a disability that is service connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101 (16). Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 237990 and the Small Business Standard is $31,000,000.
