- Fifth set of questions and answers: Note: Deadline for questions is 23 May 2008. 1. My company is interested is submitting a whitepaper to the UAST BAA. I have a question pertaining to the Gantt chart that is to be submitting in the whitepaper content and the schedule that is to be submitted over and above the 15 page whitepaper limit. There is some confusion as to what is the difference between the schedule in the whitepaper content and the Gantt chart that is to be submitted separately. Response: 2. There is no difference in the data content within the white paper and the Gantt chart. However, the Government is requesting that the actual Microsoft Project file for the Gantt chart also be included separately within the same CD. Is there a difference? Response: No difference 3. I see on Page 26 Item 4 says 4. Provide a summary Gantt chart, identifying the major elements of the project, including preliminary and critical design phases and deliverables. Response: Again, the Government is requesting this same information as part of the whitepaper write-up. 4. Page 26 Item 6 says 6. Provide a separate Microsoft Project file of the Gantt chart (See Appendix F). Response: This is correct. However, all required Appendixes are part of the whitepaper, and yes they are over and above the 15 page whitepaper limit. In other words, there is no penalty for exceeding the 15 page limit if the extra pages pertain to Appendixes. 4. The BAA also states on Page 28 Item iii says iii) 1 Page: Schedule illustrating major milestones and any decision gates. Describe any leveraging opportunities and considerations with other related efforts. Also represent any dependencies from leveraged efforts. To me, a Project Gantt chart is to be submitted over and above the 15 pages of the whitepaper. This Gantt chart will illustrat(e) major milestones and any decision gates. Describe any leveraging opportunities and considerations with other related efforts. Also represent any dependencies from leveraged efforts. But the Gantt chart that goes in the whitepaper content (Item 4) will be a summary of the project indicating phases and deliverables. This would be a reflection of the Technical Approach section of the whitepaper. Am I correct in my assumption or are these items the same? Response: That is correct.
