Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, supplemented with addition information included in this notice, and FAR FAC 2001-24. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is FA6656-08-T-0005. NAICS codes 337211 and 337214 apply to this solicitation. The size standard is 500 employees. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Request for Quote Furniture Finance Offices Items requested are UNICOR products OR EQUAL. The item descriptions are as follows: Request that your company provide a quote to provide the Installation Finance Center located on Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Bldg 128, Rooms 236,237, 240, 241, 242, 258, 260 and 262 several large to medium size office spaces of approximately 2655 square feet or smaller with panel/modular furniture. Unit wishes to maintain a customer friendly setting and professional work environment conducive to creating open communications among all its employees. Furniture must be no higher than four feet tall so that each employee will have line-of-sight with each other and with customers. The office space configurations must match and be of recycled material as much as possible as well as be environmentally friendly. Rooms 258, 260, and 262 requires 6 workstations with side surface L's 72/30, 7 workstations with side surface L's 60/30 each workstation will require 2 drawer file storage lockable. Some areas in the office space can have overheads/storage hutches if it does not interfere or cover window openings. Work space will also require approximately 11 file cabinets lockable, lastly this office area will require furniture to fill a small waiting room area. Rooms 240,241, and 242 will require 4 workstations-single pedestal desk L's 72/30 with 48/24 L, 3 file storage drawers lockable in each workstation., 1 executive desk with side surface L, with credenza with 1 glass hutch and 1 wardrobe unit and furniture to 1 small waiting room area. Rooms 236 and 237 will need 1 executive desk with credenza with glass hutch, 2 shelving units and 1 storage unit (lockable) with adjustable shelves and furniture to fill large waiting room area as well as 2 workstations, 72/ 30, 1 each 72/24 desk surface L, 1 each 48/24 desk surface L, 1 each lateral file 24" wide with 3 drawer storage file, 2 each wardrobes units with double doors and furniture needed to fill-up 1 small waiting room area. Each desk must have a personal storage unit; there will be three rows of furniture, two rows along the outer walls of the space and one row down the middle of the office space. All furniture items must match in color and be of a similar design. Unique room requirements that affect office spaces located in rooms 236.237.240,241, 242, 258, 260, and 262 no furniture should be higher than 48 inches except for overheads/hutches and wardrobes. Agency is looking for a contractor who will be able to provide inventive and imaginative designs to meet this requirement. The furniture will be set up by the company and removal of all old furniture to BLDG 203. The Service part of the contract will be separately priced on the quotes. If the installation costs are over $2,500 the Service Contract Act (52.222-41) will apply. Personnel will be paid per the Wage Determination of Youngstown, Trumbull County area. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for the contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CENTRAL REGISTRATION (CCR) PRIOR TO RECEIVING ANY AWARD AT www.ccr.gov OR CALL 1-800-227-2423. A site visit for contractors wishing to provide Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be scheduled on a date to be announced. The following addenda is provided to this provision: Request for Quotation should be submitted to 910th MSG/CONF-YOUNGSTOWM AIR RESERVE STATION, 3976 KING GRAVES ROAD, VIENNA, OH. 44473-5931. The quote shall contain the following information: SOLCITATION NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS; NAME;ADDRESS;TELEPHONE; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; PRICE; ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS. Quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount. Offerors that fail to furnish the required information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. The furniture will be evaluated at technical and past performance evaluation as primary consideration and price as second consideration.
