- This project consists of enlarging an existing trailhead by 0.13 miles. Work includes construction, staking, maintenance, clearing and grubbing; excavation and embankment; removing, salvaging and reinstallation of signs; removal, salvaging and reinstallation of posts and cable; minor concrete work for posts; removal and disposal of culverts and other minor structures; installation of culverts with headwalls and dissipaters; and traffic control and temporary sediment control when needed. This project is located on the eastern front range of the South Platte Ranger District on the Pike National Forest in the State of Colorado (about 10 miles west of Sedalia, CO). The estimated starting date for this contract is July 1, 2008, with a completion date of October 31, 2008. The contractor shall maintain progress at a rate that shall assure completion and acceptance of work within this time frame. Estimated dollar value of this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.000. The solicitation will be restricted to small businesses. The small business size standard for this type of work (NAICS Code 237990) is $31 million.
