- Description
- The Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center West, is conducting market research to seek qualified sources capable of providing Linen Laundry Services in support of the Warriors in Transition program located in buildings 3631 and 3635, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary for performing laundry services, to include pick-up and delivery on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. The estimated annual workload is 180,000 pounds and consists of blankets, sheets, pillowcases, mattress pad covers, bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and linen bags. The government is considering a 5 year contract that may include a basic period and 4 one year option periods. A formal solicitation is tentatively planned to be announced during the month of June 2008. Competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. Potential offerors will need to be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) system in order to transact business with the government. CCR registration can be obtained by accessing www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 812320 with a small business size standard of $4M. Any information submitted is voluntary and the government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought notice. All data received in response to this sources sought notice, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. All sources should include their business size, experience in laundry services, and indicate whether facilities are available to perform these services. Interested businesses are required to submit their statement of interest and capabilities to the Southern Region Contracting Center West, ATTN: Alan C. Jackson, 2107 17th Street, Building 4197 Suite 15, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234-5015.
