Description
Provide Seabee Monument Mold, Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, tools, material, parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to provide a new mold of an existing bee monument so that additional fiberglass bees can be produced. The mold shall be able to produce at least 30 new bees and the mold shall have a life span of at least 30 years. The mold will become the property of the Government. The Contractor shall also provide one new fiberglass bee with all hardware necessary for mounting metal wings and for mounting the bee to a structure. The painting and wing construction will be completed by the Government. The size of the new bee shall match the existing bee. The existing bee monument may be used to construct the mold. The Contractor's shop shall be located on Oahu, Hawaii and the Contractor shall train Government personnel at the Contractor's shop. The training shall include some observations by the Government in the construction of the mold and detailed training to the Government for the production of a new bee (so Government personnel can cast their own bee monument in the future). The Contractor shall also provide technical support so the Government can complete a written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The current bee monument has been tested for asbestos and lead and there are high concentrations of lead in some of the existing paint colors. There is no asbestos detected. The Government will deliver the existing bee monument to the Contractors shop on Oahu, Hawaii and also pickup the completed mold and new bee monument from the Contractors shop to deliver back to the Government. The total contract term will be six weeks. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333511 and the annual size standard is 500 employees. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at the website. No notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested offerors.
