Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to solicit and award a contract for custodial services that will meet the needs of NIH facilities locate din Bethesda, MD as well as satellite facilities located in Rockville and Poolesville, MD. This procurement is set-aside for eligible 8(a) firms. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 561720; the average annual receipts is $14 million dollars. The Government contemplates award of a fixed-price, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery type contract with a maximum square footage of 5,000,000 and a minimum of 500,000. the square footage to be serviced under any resultant contract is categorized into five room groups -- public, staff, health, support, and exterior. The resultant contract will be structured to allow NIH the option of selecting the performance level of service to be provided (i.e., very good, good, or fair) at a fixed price per square foot. The contract shall be for a period of one year commencing October 1, 2008 and include four 12-month options. A pre-proposal conference will be held June 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. the location is National Institutes of Health, 9000 rockville Pike, Building 13, room 1W-77C, Bethesda, MD. Because of space limitations, each prospective offeor will be limited to a total of 2 representatives. Attendance is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal. NIH anticipates posting the solicitation at the Government electronic point of entry, Federal Opportunities (FedBizOps) website on or about June 4, 2008. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. Documents identified in the solicitation as not being available electronically will be available upon written request to the Contracting Officer at the address indicated in this synopsis. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The closing date for receipt of proposals by the Government is July 7, 2008.
