- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to issuea cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation(GTARC), part of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Industry ContactingOffice, Atlanta, GA 30332-0420, to produce a replacement to the currentAN/FPN-63(V) Angle Voltage Generator (AVG) which will be fully compatible withthe AN/FPN-63(V) system, but which will be designed with digital technologythat provides accurate interpretation of the antenna pointing angle to thedisplay. The contract is intended to be for upgrading 35 kits, with one optionfor up to 7 additional upgrade kits. These AVGs are used in the PrecisionApproach Radar at U.S. Naval Stations worldwide. The digital technology willreplace the analog design of the existing AVGs. The performance period isanticipated to be 36 months for the initial 35 kits. The applicable NorthAmerican Industry Classification Systems (NAICS Code is 334511). This noticeis not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Governmentnot to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within thediscretion of the Government. Information received will normally be consideredsolely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitiveprocurement. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other suppliesor services will satisfy agency requirements.
