Description

In accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source,” the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Insitu, Inc., Bingen, WA, to provide one Insight Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), one spares kit, and associated support equipment. This system will be used by a Naval Special Warfare to conduct an in-theatre operational assessment. The assessment will be conducted within 90 days of contract award, and result in an in-theatre UAS Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) concept of operations. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) GENERAL INFORMATION: Insitu, Inc. is the only known source available with the requisite equipment to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required timeline. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for, or award, a contract. Numbered note 22 applies.
