- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make single or multiple award(s) to a qualified small business or individual for the provision of X-Ray Technician & Phlebotomist services. The services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Complex, Tucson, Arizona. The Contractor shall be responsible for the commercial practices of a X-Ray Technician & Phlebotomist. Duties for an X-Ray Technician include, but are not limited to: familiar with use of x-ray equipment GE Advantx and Climax Rfusing AGFAA CR35-X CR processing, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintain all written reports, and serve as the technical consultant to the clinicians. Duties for the Phlebotomist include, but are not limited to: in-depth knowledge of specimen collection tools, collect laboratory specimens by venipuncture, collect blood samples for testing, and recording information regarding specimens for use of the clinicians. At a minimum the Contractor must have a medical/technical background obtained through a two (2) year education program in the specific field and a minimum of two (2) years experience in the field. The contract period will consist of a base year and four option years for renewal. The estimated quantity for each of the services listed will consist of approximately 1560 one hour sessions per year. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The solicitation will be available on or about June 20, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about July 17, 2008. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621399 with a size standard of $6.5 million. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses or individuals may submit a quote.
