- -----------------MARKET RESEARCH REQUEST FOR INFORMATION------------------- 1. This notice is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation, Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. Accordingly, the Government will not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested. Furthermore, any responses received will not be used as a proposal. 2. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Southwest Asia- Kuwait seeks information regarding a medical equipment service, maintenance, and repair coordinator, through various subcontractors, or single company certified to service all of the medical equipment in use at U.S. Army Camps across Kuwait. The interested company would also provide dry ice delivery and bio-hazardous waste removal services, thus providing the U.S. Army a single focal point for all medical support contracts in Kuwait. 3. The equipment currently in use is as follows: (1) Vitros 350 Chemistry System (1) Vitros EciQ Immunoassay System, (1) Advia 60 Hematology Analyzer. (1) Aestive 57100 Anesthesia Machine, (1) Phillips Sonos 7500 Echo Cardio Gram Machine, (1) Mac 5000 Echo Cardio Gram Machine, (1) Sterrad NX, low-temperature hydrogen peroxide gas plasma sterilizer, (1) Sterrad 100 S, Sterilization System and (5) Rapiscan X-Ray machines. Period of performance will be 1 Sep 08 31 Aug 09, with possible option year periods. Equipment services must be in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. 4. The requirement for dry ice delivery is 25 KG per week delivered to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait hospital. 5. The requirement for bio-hazardous waste removal service is 100 gallons weekly, removed from Theater Mortuary Evacuation Point at Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. 6. If there is a prime contractor willing to employ subcontractors to accomplish this effort, the prime contractor must provide the subcontractor certifications to perform services and maintenance prior to contract award. 7.
