Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice. Solicitation No. FA5685-08-T-0030. This notice is to identify all prospective offerors within the Republic of Turkey in submitting proposals for the upcoming solicitation for: The 39th Contracting Squadron plans to issue a solictation for: FIBER OPTIC CABLE INSTALLATION FROM BUILDING 7300 TO BUILDING 1080 FROM BUILDING 2209 TO BUILDING 2032 on Incirlik AB Turkey. All interested offerors must submit the attached letter (Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Reservation Form) by e-mail to 39 CONS/LGCA identifying their company name, address, phone number, fax, and an English-speaking point of contact and e-mail address for obtaining access to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. This information shall be submitted no later than 3:00 PM (1500) on 4 June 2008. Responses are desired from firms who can demonstrate recent experience and excellent past performance in instalation of fiber optic cabling, however expressions of interests will be accepted from all interested parties. E-mails or letters only will be accepted, preferably by e-mail and only once. Any interested offerors who do not return this Reservation Form by the stated cut-off date shall still be eligible for award. However, all interested offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled pre-proposal conference/site visit meeting to best ascertain the nature and location of the work and to become better acquainted with the RFP requirements (i.e., assigned 39 CS Project manager will be present to discuss RFP technical requirements, assigned 39 CONS/LGCA personnel will be present to discuss RFP administrative matters. Those interested offerors who fail to submit this reservation form by the required date and time shall be allowed entry to the pre-proposal conference/site visit. However, they will be entirely responsible for making their own arrangements with Turkish Pass & ID for obtaining required gate passes for attending the pre-proposal conference/site visit. Turkish Pass & ID is located in bldg #2702, phone number (0322) 316-4184. The points of contact (POC) for this acquisition are Mr. Metin Acan and TSgt Roberto Rodriguez-Santiago. Both can be reached at 39th Contracting Squadron (0322) 316-6919, 8083 or 8084. All requests of interest in this RFP must refer to RFP number FA5685-08-T- 0030 and be sent by e-mail to: metin.acan@incirlik.af.mil and/or roberto.rodriguez-santiago@incirlik.af.mil ATTENTION POTENTIAL OFFERORS: DUE TO ESTABLISHED ECONOMIC AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT OF TURKEY, THE AIR FORCE INTENDS TO AWARD THIS SOLICITATION TO A BUSINESS CONCERN WITHIN THE COUNTRY OF TURKEY. THEREFORE, PROPOSALS FROM BUSINESS CONCERNS OUTSIDE OF TURKEY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
