- REASON FOR AMENDMENT: The RFP anticipated issue dated has been changed from 'on or about 28 May 2008' to 'on or about 10 June 2008.' The RFP projected closing date has been changed from 'on 13 June 2008 to 'on or about 26 June 2008.' The projected site visit date has been changed from '3 June 2008 at 9:00 am (CST) to '12 June 2008 at 9:00 am (CST).' Amendment 01:Commercial Supply with Non-Personal Services. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, materials and management necessary to furnish 20 ft and 40 ft shipping containers to be modified to include windows, doors, interior and exterior stairways with railings at various training sites at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 332311, Prefabricated Metal Building and Component Manufacturing is applicable to this acquisition. The applicable size standard is 500 employees. The Government will issue a 100% set-aside for small business Request for Quotes (RFQ). The Government will evaluate offers in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this request, and will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors (e.g., past performance, delivery). Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-2(b). Award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract is contemplated. Supply/services will be procured pursuant to the regulatory direction of FAR Part 13.5 Test Program For Certain Commercial Items. The expected award shall be completed 45 days after date of contract (ADC). The entire solicitation package will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and the Fort Sill Directorate of Contracting homepage at http://sill-www.army.mil/doc/. Requests for copies of the solicitation package by any other means will not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps and/or Directorate of Contracting websites for the release of the solicitation package or subsequent solicitation amendments. The anticipated RFQ will be issued on or about 10 June 2008. The closing date for submission of offers will be on or about 26 June 2008, 4:00 p.m CST. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered. SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit for this project 12 June 2008. It would be to the advantage of all interested bidders to attend this site visit. SITE VISIT ARRANGEMENTS: An organized site visit has been arranged to inspect the site where these services are to be performed. The site visit will be on 12 June 2008 at 9:00 a.m. central standard time (CST). Persons attending the site visit should be at Directorate of Contracting, Bldg 1803, 2418 NW Macomb Road, Fort Sill, OK no later than 8:45 a.m. CST on 12 June 2008. Due to the limited space available, each concern should limit the number of their representatives attending to two (2) persons. Written or telephonic notification of attendance must be received by the Contracting Officer not later than 11 June 2008, @ 4:00 p.m. CST.
